Podstrana is experiencing its finest days this summer. While its six kilometres of crystal-clear, ecologically certified coastline attract thousands of domestic and foreign visitors, this Dalmatian municipality is successfully proving that tourism is not just about sun and sea. Through the rich programme of the "Podstrana Summer" event, the town has become an epicentre of entertainment, but also a guardian of authentic local heritage that successfully combines a modern tourist spirit with a local, indigenous flair.
In the week ahead, the entertainment programme reaches its peak with concerts, opera arias, and traditional fishing nights. However, what makes this summer historic is a major cultural anniversary – the jubilee 30th "Good Morning Sea" cultural and artistic event, celebrating three decades of gathering Croatian writers and artists in honour of the homeland and the sea.

DETAILED EVENT SCHEDULE (31 July – 4 August 2026)
Friday, 31 July 2026.
- 21:00 h – Opera Arias (Cindro Summer Residence Gardens)
- Enjoy a touch of pure elegance under the starry sky with top performances. Soprano Tanja Ruždjak and tenor Vjekoslav Kaštelančić will perform, accompanied by Vjekoslav Babić on piano. Admission is free.
Saturday, 1 August 2026.
- 21:00 h – Fishing Night & Gazde Concert (Mutogras Recreational Zone)
- A traditional summer folk festival with the aroma of grilled fish and local wine. The popular "Gazde" will provide a top atmosphere and tamburitza rock, while the evening will be opened by the well-known Split musician Johnny Gitara.
Sunday, 2 August 2026.
- 20:00 h – Children's "Good Morning" dedicated to Josip Pupačić (Cindro Summer Residence Gardens)
- Official opening of the 30th "Good Morning Sea" event. The programme includes a student recital, the announcement of the children's laureate, and guest appearances by renowned Croatian writers Miro Gavran and Enes Kišević. The musical part features the children's klapa Žižula and Luce Uvodić.
Monday, 3 August 2026.
- 20:00 hrs – Evening of Literature and Heritage (Cindro Villa Park)
- Presentation of the monograph “30 Years of Dobrojutrenja” with expert guests and a musical programme.
Tuesday, 4 August 2026.
- Morning (from 09:00 hrs) – Remembrance and Tradition (St. Martin's Church and Municipality)
- Holy Mass for defenders and poets, tour of the locality, and a formal reception for participants.
- Evening (from 20:00 hrs) – Finale in Old Podstrana
- Opening of the art exhibition “Dedicated to the Sea” and the closing ceremony with the announcement of laureates and a performance by the klapa Praska.
- 21:00 hrs – Concert for Victory Day (Promenade)
- Performance by the group Hrvatske ruže, Miro Boem, and Arithmija band.
